Annual Grafting seminar
April 1, 20239:00am to 12:00pmDr. Larry Stein from the Texas AgriLife Extension service will show you how and why fruit, nut and citrus trees are grafted in this free seminar. You will learn all the different grafting techniques like inlay, four flap, cleft, approach grafts and some of the budding techniques like chip budding and t-budding. You will also learn about the overall care of your fruit, nut and citrus trees before and after you graft them. This program will be outside and will go on rain or shine so dress for the weather. The San Antonio Rose Society has some of the best rose growers in town and often win many awards at area Rose Shows. Citrus are now available along with a large assortment of bananas and other tropical fruits. There are also grapes, blueberry, raspberry, blackberry and goji berry to round out the fruit orchard.
